Welcome to Madam-Vanessa.com

This is the first opportunity anyone has had to sneak a preview of the Madam Vanessa story - until now it has been the subject of chat shows, sensational media reports and wild rumours.
Three books from three different viewpoints take the reader on a journey so bizarre and unique that it can only stem from the true story of Vanessa and her Bournemouth brothel empire.
Madam Vanessa (click to read) self-penned her book detailing the life and times of Vanessa herself. She reveals just what it is that made her into a successful Madam, her colourful private life, her many business ventures and the sacrifices she made along the way. It is ultimately an uplifting tale of how she coped, at the age of sixty, with being imprisoned and unceremoniously stripped of all her assets.
The Madam and the Professional Prisoner (click to read) has been written by Thomas McArdle Graham. His fascinating book gives great insight into his close relationship with Vanessa over decades and details a harrowing life of childhood abuse at hand of Catholic priests, gangland tales of the 50s and a lifetime of drifting in and out of correctional institutions.
Clive Witham's The Madam’s Acupuncturist (click to read) tells the story of how he came to practise acupuncture in Vanessa's brothel, became her confidant and then follows the steady downward spiral of Vanessa and her world from the inside. The story is interspersed with his opportune escape to a new life on a Japanese Pacific island days before the arrests and how both he and Vanessa then followed parallel struggles of survival - her awaiting jail and him finding that paradise is not always what we imagine.
A Message from Madam Vanessa:
Although my downfall had a devastating effect on me and my family, I knew I had to find a way to get back on my feet. Afterall my two mantras have always been: ‘Everything’s going to be O.K and There’s Always a Way.’
It was the hardest challenge I’ve ever had to face. I’d lost money before on business ventures, but I had been a lot younger then and now at the age of sixty, and stripped of all my assets, it wasn’t going to be easy. I had no capital and I had to rely on benefits to survive.
Eventually, after many false starts, I began work in earnest on my book, Madam Vanessa, the prologue of which I have posted on my website.
I hope you enjoy reading our work and keep checking back for more information as we are regularly updating the site.
